Casual Studio Access
Do you want to come in for about an hour or so to do some pottery? $15 per hour or $45 per day.
What We Offer
If you need somewhere to practise wheel-throwing, hand build, glaze or trim a piece, then you can have studio access for a minimum of $15 per hour (or part thereof). Maximum daily fee is $45 per day, and you can stay as long as you like within business hours. There will be mostly be no supervision, so you must at least have completed at least one pottery course (anywhere) before. Jacqui will however be around and willing to help (within reason) if you have any pressing questions. OoPs studio is a beautiful home studio with four wheels, a kiln, table space for hand building, slab roller, shelves, clay, glazes and all the tools you need. There is also kitchenette with fridge, microwave, toilet, music and other friendly artists and potters around. It is quite a homely and special space for potters and ceramic artists to come and practise. CASUAL HOURLY STUDIO ACCESS - $15 per hour, minimum charge or $45 per day - stay as long as you need to. - Every Monday, Thursday and Sunday. - 9 am to 10 pm unless there are classes and workshops underway. - Book a time online below when it suits you. - Includes access to the ceramic studio, tables and potters' wheels. - Glazes, clay or other raw materials are available to purchase. Please use our studio clay and glazes only. It is complicated if you bring in other clays or glazes. - Clay: $20 for 5 kg of new clay, or $1 per kg of reclaimed clay. - Glazes: $5 per piece up to 1kg. If your work weighs more than 1kg, then its $5 per kg. - Bisque firing : $10 per kg - Glaze firing : $15 per kg - Maximum firing temperature is cone 6 (midfire or around 1240 degrees C) - Shelving provided if needed. Cancellation Policy
REFUNDS / ABSENCE / TRANSFERS We DO NOT offer refunds or transfers if you change your mind. Please be sure you are able to commit to the class, course or workshop dates and times prior to booking. We are not able to offer a make-up session unfortunately. Our classes generally usually run at full capacity. If you are unable to attend a class, please contact me at jacqui.louw@bigpond.com or on 0439 812 967 to make alternative arrangements. OoPs - One-off Pottery Studio reserves the right to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances such as insufficient enrollments, or (dare we say it) a pandemic. You will be notified prior to the class if cancellation of the class is deemed necessary and a pro-rata refund will be provided.
